When you’re a famous supermodel, you know a thing or two about beauty. And travel. The world is your oyster, and even more so when you’re married to the founder of Snapchat, Evan Spiegel. Want to know where Miranda Kerr vacations? Read on.
We think of Miranda as the endearing Victoria’s Secret angel with the dimples, not as a mother of three and the proud owner of KORA Organics, the natural-cosmetics company. But many years have passed since we watched her walk the runway, and she has since transformed herself from a doe-eyed lingerie model to a powerful CEO who charts the world for business and pleasure. Whether she’s traveling for a product launch or a billionaires’ club soiree, she warrants paying attention to. We’re happy to fill you in on where Miranda Kerr vacations, starting in Fiji.
Laucala Island, Fiji
While most people have to at least consider the cost of a stay on the private island, some lucky people can jet over whenever they feel like it. A certain coterie of rich and famous folks are buds with Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz, who owns the Como resort. In 2017, after a small private wedding ceremony in LA, Miranda and Evan flew to Mateschitz’s private house on Fiji, where they enjoyed a very secluded stay. The connection may have been made a long time ago, before Evan hit the big time: he was once an unpaid intern at Red Bull.
Guests can expect the kind of luxury resort where your butler greets you on the tarmac with a fruity cocktail and flip flops. Como is known for its $60,000-a-night price tags and what some have described as “ridiculous” attention to detail. Perhaps you can tell when a billionaire owns a resort, because no corners are cut, and all focus is on providing ease and luxury. On the surface, there’s no visible intention to make money.
Of course, Miranda and Evan didn’t stay in just any ol’ suite. The pair decamped at Dietrich’s own home, which overlooks the rocky beach and boasts an infinity pool and maximum privacy. Quite a spot for a honeymoon.
Ananda Resort, Rishikesh, India
Naturally, a VIP couple chooses an off-the-grid spot to recharge. Though the couple were in India for business, Miranda and Evan made time for pleasure at the most luxurious hotel around. The Ananda Resort is first and foremost a spa, where skilled staff employs the traditional practice of Ayurveda to assess and heal pampered guests.
In addition to the majestic Himalayas, the hotel spa is what really draws people to Ananda. In this place, it’s impossible not to feel at peace.
QT Hotel, Sydney, Australia
The Australian native goes home every once in a while, and she never skimps on her stay. The QT hotel is a Sydney hotspot that’s full of drama, from lavish Art Deco-inspired rooms to theatrical spa treatments. When Miranda heads back to the QT, she says she takes time to relax with massages — and by simply feeling the grass under her feet.
The QT, built in a 1920’s theater, can make you feel as though you’re in a play or a movie. But the coolest and quirkiest of Sydney hotels is also in an excellent area for shopping and sightseeing. Happily, the room prices don’t break the bank (sometimes it isn’t about finding the most expensive place to stay, but the spot with the best all-around experience). In-room DIY martini kits, and the “Gatsby” treatment at the spa — a shoeshine and a glass of whiskey — bring an element of humor you just won’t find everywhere.
Bliss Mega Yacht, The Mediterranean
So it’s not technically a hotel. But when you’re planning a family vacation and you love the water, booking a private yacht can be just the ticket. No wonder then that Miranda, Evan, and their kids rented this 311-ft, $250-million, eco mega yacht for a smooth sail around the Mediterranean.
On the topic of where Miranda Kerr vacations, the family got to explore the whole southern coast of France, stopping by Porquerolles Island on the Côte d’Azur. They invited Miranda’s former model friend Joan Smalls to join them for a leg of the journey. On board, the three pools were eye-catching perks.
Even if you can’t escape like moneyed celebs, it’s fun to dream. Here’s where Paris Hilton honeymooned.
