Are you always begging your child to eat fruit? Do you struggle to eat your essential – and recommended – portions of fruit each day? Then this refreshing, low fat Mango Papaya Pineapple smoothie recipe is for you.

Mango Papaya Pineapple Smoothie recipe

Ingredients

2 mangos

1 small papaya

½ pineapple

1 cup of yoghurt

2 cups of cold milk

Yield: 3 servings

Directions for a Mango Papaya Pineapple Smoothie

Peel, chop and de-seed the papaya.Cut the remaining papaya into small pieces.

Cut the skin off the pineapple and chop the remaining pineapple into small chunks.

Peel the mangos and cut into small pieces.

Place the mango, pineapple, papaya and yoghurt into the bowl of a Vitamix blender. Don’t worry if you do not have a Vitamix blender as you can also use a food processor.

Puree the fruit for 10 seconds. Then add 1/2 cup of milk. Blend until smooth for approximately 1 minute.

If the fruit chunks are sticking to the side of your blender, switch the blender off and scrape the sides with a spoon or spatula. Then puree the mixture some more.

If the smoothie consistency is too thick, add an additional 1/4 cup milk.

Pour the smoothie into a chilled glass and serve immediately. And don’t forget the straw for kids!

Store any left over smoothie mix in a sealed container in the fridge. It will keep for up to two days.

You can save time by buying pre-cut chunks of tropical fruit. Alternatively, cut twice the amount of fruit that you need and place half of it in a sealed container into your freezer to use the next time you want to make this fabulous mango papaya pineapple smoothie.
