Favorite Destination

My favorite place that I’ve traveled to is Germany. After exploring Munich, I spent a year in Lichtenfels, a small town about two hours from the city. The town looked like it was straight out of a storybook and the people were very kind. I learned plenty of German, toured some beautiful castles, and came home with several delicious new recipes. Another favorite of mine is Paris. You just never get used to seeing the Eiffel Tower.

Bucket List

I would love to travel to Peru and see Machu Picchu in person. I have also always wanted to visit Portugal, because Portugal has such a vibrant culture and I would love to experience it in person. Last but not least, someday I’d like to go on one of Finland’s reindeer safaris. I think it would be a memorable experience for sure.

Travel Philosophy

“If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion, and avoid the people, you might better stay home.” -James A. Michener. This quote always sticks in my head when I book a trip, because I believe travel is a great opportunity to experience and learn about different cultures. I think it’s important to be adventurous and try new things while traveling because the world has a lot to teach us.
