The itinerary overall is a balance between enjoying the Hotel du Cap but also getting out in the world a bit. This foundation itinerary also assumes that you are staying at the Hotel du Cap.
If you’re not staying at the Hotel du Cap and at a hotel in Cannes, then we suggest loading up on activities and beach clubs during the day. You can also head to Monaco, Eze and St. Paul de Vence which is a worthwhile field trip with Cannes as your home base. We’ve been asked this question numerous times about whether there is a hotel that matches the Hotel du Cap. The answer is no, not even close in the Cannes, Antibes and Monaco area. However the hotels in this guide to Cannes are all good. You’ll just have a different experience and less time enjoying the hotel as a destination.

A: There is no shortage of five-star hotels in Antibes and Cannes. However the best and our recommendation is to stay at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. That is, if you can get a reservation. Otherwise if you’re in Cannes for work, the Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes, or Hôtel Martinez. Additionally the Carlton Cannes recently had a massive renovation so that is also worth checking out.
