We’re not being cute here. Soneva Secret makes the trifecta as it joins its sister properties Jani and Fushi in the Maldives. Like siblings, Secret is related, but uniquely its own. With just 14 villas on an atoll, it’s a completely different vibe too, where you’re essentially at the end of the earth for your stay. This is the first look at Soneva Secret, one of the new hotels in the Maldives.
A Hotel of Private Villas
Opening in March of 2024, Soneva Secret will offer a completely unique Maldivian experience, and not just from its sister properties either. Located in the Maldives’ breathtaking Haa Dhaalu Atoll, the resort features 14 luxurious villas that are each like stand-alone hotels. Each villa is equipped with its own private chef, 24-hour butler services, gym, and spa treatment room. The idyllic villas allow guests to connect with nature while enjoying complete privacy. Soneva Secret is child-friendly, so visitors can feel free to bring their little ones along. In fact, the waterslide on each villa is not just for kids. Adults enjoy it just as much.
Choose Your Own Adventure
Soneva Secret offers something for everyone, whether you’re with your family or on your honeymoon. Adventurous guests can visit the resort’s spectacular dive sites or set sail on a dolphin cruise. Those in need of some detox and chill time can get up close and personal with the spa treatment room. Children are sure to enjoy The Den, a learning center that aims to help kids explore the environment around them.
For those venturing outside of their villas, there’s a “castaway picnic” experience. Like its name implies, you sail off to one of Soneva’s secluded islands with a picnic basket in hand. Once dropped off, there’s a day of snorkeling, dining, and soaking up the sunshine. Those looking for a wildlife encounter can swim with turtles and manta rays in several locations across Soneva Secret. For an even more unique experience, Soneva offers guests the chance to scuba dive. The Haa Dhaalu Atoll is teeming with marine life, and the resort’s PADI dive instructors are available to make sure no guest misses out.
Cuisine
Soneva Secret features 14 master chefs, each from a different corner of the world. At Secret, you can enjoy Michelin-level cuisine prepared by your own private chef in your villa. Or, you take in the view from Soneva’s dining tower, accessible by zipline. The Out of this World dining tower and observatory provide an educational (and gourmet) experience for all ages. Here you can share an exquisite meal under the stars while learning from an expert astronomer.
As far as what Secret does have in common with its sibling properties of Sushi and Jani, the cheese room and chocolate room are back. Yes, Soneva’s renowned 24/7 ice cream and chocolate parlors as well as the cheese & charcuterie rooms now have their own home at Secret.
