We have to hand it to Eugene Levy’s The Reluctant Traveler. They may have singlehandedly started the cast iron pancake craze. We’ve received hundreds of emails from you. So we decided it was time not only to share the secret ingredient recipe, but to also show you how to make the best pancakes on Galavante TV.
A Dream Hotel: Amangiri
One of the best hotels in the United States, is hands down Amangiri. Located in Canyon Point, Utah, Amangiri looks naturally like part of the stunning mesas and canyons. Speaking of which, this is Grand Canyon territory, within helicopter distance, to do the bucket list trip. Otherwise, there’s plenty of diversions on Amangiri’s 600 acres of trails to hike, rock climb, horseback ride and explore to your heart’s content. Amangiri is also where Eugene Levy’s Reluctant Traveler filmed an episode on their first season. We’ll give credit where credit is due: The Reluctant Traveler hotels were Hollywood-worthy.
The Best Pancakes in the World
Thanks to Eugene Levy’s travel show, The Reluctant Traveler, the pancake at Amangiri has broken the internet. Ok, maybe that’s a little bit of an embellishment, but we’ve received hundreds of emails about Amangiri’s pancake recipe. You can check out the recipe here, though there’s nothing like making the pancake yourself. That’s where our In the Kitchen with Galavante series comes in, where we show you all the tips to make the best pancakes in the world. We are the official place where the brilliant Chef Anthony Marazita of Amangiri shared the recipe.
The Secret Ingredient
In addition to the tips like heating your skillets before you pour the batter in, there is one secret ingredient. No one has guessed it, but it does take the recipe to the best pancakes in the world level. So yes, we do share the ingredient as well in our video.
