Joelle Mentis, Staff Writer

Salma Hayek Pinault

You may be surprised to know this, but there are few A-List Celebrities who call Paris home. However, when those few include two Oscar winners and a multi-hyphenate talent, it’s clearly the quality and not the quantity.

The Celeb: Salma Hayek

The Hangout: Chez L’Ami Louis

Married to the son of one of the richest men in the world, who has become very rich himself, Salma Hayek is no stranger to luxury living. Of course, the billionaires own properties across the world. In London, they own a mansion with 14 bedrooms once owned by Justin Bieber.

But because of his Parisian roots, the couple also resides in Paris, where they also own large accommodations. Most recently, she and her husband dined with notables at Macron’s dinner at Elysees Palace. Also in attendance was President Biden. But when she’s having a more chill meal, she opts for L’Ami Louis, which is, in fact, more chill for the billionaire wife.

The Celeb: Hilary Swank

The Hangout: The Ritz

Hilary Swank not only lives in Paris, she has an Architectural Digest-approved apartment. For Hilary, Paris means beauty, light, quaint architecture, and a love so deep, she fought to find the perfect place to live in it.

When not at home, she has chosen the Ritz as her landing place. Before purchasing her gorgeous abode, she and her brother stayed in the Coco Chanel suite. Chanel, and Ritz go way back, and her legacy lives on in the suite designed to embody her energy. Characterized as discreet, perfect, timeless and luxurious, the suite also embodies the Parisian joie de vivre.

The Celeb: Pharrell Williams

The Hangout: Cheval Blanc

With as many accolades as Pharrell has, the artist and designer couldn’t do his time in Paris without staying in one of the best kept secrets of Paris: the Cheval Blanc luxury suite. The penthouse apartment features almost 10,000 sq ft of simple elegance. This is the type of place you can’t even google and they don’t advertise it on the website.

The secret apartment holds multiple levels, with a 41 ft private swimming pool, panoramic terrace, and projector room. the rent is estimated at around $45,000 per night, and Pharrel stayed for several months. And yet, because he is Pharrell, he has been caught ordering McDonalds in Paris.

Honorable mentions: Beyonce and Jay-Z, the Kardashians, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Many celebs who want to live in Paris briefly opt to rent apartments at Le Pourtales, also known as the “No Address” hotel. The hundred-years old hotel holds a special place in the city’s elite play spaces, offering deluxe rentable apartments. For awhile, the hotel was known to have no name and no address to protect famous people’s privacy. You may know Pourtales as the infamous location of Kim Kardashian’s robbery. Of course, now security is top tier.
