Galavante’s 501c3 nonprofit, Galavante in The World (GITW), hosted its second annual fundraiser on Tuesday, June 4th at the Magic Room at The Ned. For the past 2 1/2 years, GITW supports women from Afghanistan in their pursuit of their graduate education. To date, GITW donated over $170,000 in direct financial assistance, evacuation expenses, living stipends, housing and in-kind services and donations. We spend hundreds of hours with our students and their families, investing into mentorship and guidance through complicated issues. GITW is a volunteer run non-profit so 100% of the proceeds raised go directly to those we help.

It’s Never too Late to Change the World
If you couldn’t join us, or if you want to be involved with our work, it’s never too late to change the world. You can support our students directly, or join us in mentoring these exceptionally academic women. In this case, education is a lifeline for these students. Afghanistan is the only country in the world that does not allow education for women. The irony though is that the majority of our women are the primary breadwinners of their families. We are Committed to Women’s Rights, Education + Humanitarian Projects
The headlines do not matter to us at GITW; we are committed to women’s rights, education and humanitarian projects around the world. We will continue to fund education stipends for Afghan women as well as expand our work. We cannot continue without the support of our generous donors. It was quite befitting that our 2nd Annual Fundraiser was held at the Magic Room at The NedNomad. Check out the photos of an evening, that was magic.
