An Interview With Sinuhe Xavier

Award-Winning Director and Photographer

On the surface of it, Sinuhe Xavier is an award-winning director and photographer. Just ask Bentley, Jaguar and Range Rover, who are a few of his clients. For these clients, Sinuhe travels everywhere from glamorous destinations like Monaco, to remote places like Alaska.  But stick with us here, as our theme this week is skiing. Before he was behind the camera, Sinuhe Xavier was in front of it.  Sinuhe spent most of his career as a professional skier. Sinuhe credits his mother, who just wanted some free time of her own, so sent him off to ski on the weekends.   So no, Sinuhe wasn’t put into a special ski camp; he’s totally self-taught.  If you do a search on Sinuhe, you’ll see some really gnarly places that he’s skied.  Pretty much no fear is how we would describe Sinuhe, when he was a young pup on the slopes.  With all this experience, we know that he was the right person to talk about powder.  And his favorite place to ski in the world is…

Well, you’ll have to watch the interview. We have to say, this interview with Sinuhe Xavier surprised us.  We interviewed Sinuhe because we wanted to get the inside scoop on where to ski this season. While he was based in LA, he’s now a lot closer to the powder in Vail, Colorado. Instead of places that everyone likes to ski though, Sinuhe really gave us some insider spots. His travels take him all around the world, whether it’s to ski, or to shot car commercials.

A New Galavante Contributor

Since this interview, we’re lucky to now have Sinuhe as a Contributing Writer at Galavante. He uncovers the off-the-beaten-path better than anyone we know.  This summer, he’ll be in places for us like Italy and Switzerland.  But we know he’ll uncover places that surprise you.  Just like his favorite places to ski.  He has quite the bucket list of travel ahead.  Stay tuned for his adventures around the world.

Taking aside that silly decision on Brexit, the English have a plenty they do right. First there’s the monarchy, where it’s hard not to love Princess Kate right now. And…
