It’s nice to share a birthday, especially when it’s with The Shops at The Plaza. With our First Class Members and friends, we celebrated the milestone of 5 years of Galavante and The Shops at The Plaza in a progressive of shops and canapés, including Luke’s Lobster, Pizza Rollio (one of the best and most creative pies in town) and other delectable bites.
Guests were prepped for the party with hairstyling by Warren Tricomi and oxygen facials from Caudalie, and sipped custom cocktails by the talented Cocktail Architect, Alta Neve prosecco and Barterhouse Wines as they perused through MCM, created custom scents at Krigler, spoiled some lucky ducks at Couture Kids and admired gems at Misahara.
When we started Galavante 5 years ago, our vision was to create the luxury Trip Advisor for the Working Jet Set. We optimize our limited time off in any destination with the very best in hotels, restaurants and everything from culture to shopping. We’re different because our recommendations come from you, the discerning Working Jet Set traveler.
We also all understand that just because something is the most expensive, doesn’t mean it’s the best. It is our community that we have created of Galavante members who share their recommendations that make Galavante the most curated resource for travel.
In our five years, we’ve built our business to include full service travel bookings, from air to hotels, insider access to sold out events like Coachella, and exclusive experiences like cooking with Bobby Flay at the Food Network. For our community of Working Jet Set Travelers, we have gorgeous events (like the one at the Plaza) and VIP perks at over 1700 properties. When you’re not traveling, we provide lifestyle inspiration, from recipes inspired by travel to sharing our on-the-ground experiences through our videos. Yes, there are the private planes, top end hotels and best restaurants, but we also take you to see schools in Rwanda, our work with microfinance loan organizations and the incredible philanthropies by extraordinary individuals. After all, life is not just about 1000 thread count Egyptian sheets.
The magnitude of our five year milestone does not escape us, though we feel like this is just the beginning, as there is much more to come.
