Just when there can’t be another reason to Roman Holiday it up, a new luxury hotel is set to arrive on the scene. Rome is trending high, and it’s better than ever. Enter Bulgari, which opens its new hotel in 2023 in the Campo Marzio neighborhood. It’s going to be one unique hotel in Rome. Here’s a preview.
Overview
You don’t want to be in Rome without feeling like the protagonist of a romance film. A stay at the up-and-coming Bulgari Hotel promises to make this fantasy your reality in 2023. The hotel has found its home in a grand modernist building constructed in the 1930s, and promises to be a romantic blend of the past and present — and one of Bulgari’s most luxurious properties. Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the architectural firm responsible for all of Bulgari’s hotels, is in charge of design and exterior renovations. Expect aesthetics to include traditional Roman materials and colors, like the burnt red brick, as well as ochre travertine marble.
Location
The key thing when booking a stay in Rome is location. Rome is a massive city. And for the uninitiated, it can be daunting to get around. You want to stay in a neighborhood that is central to all of the sights on your bucket list. The Bulgari Hotel will be located in Campo Marzio, one of the top neighborhoods to stay in Rome. Within walking distance you’ll find the fashion district and Rome’s iconic Via del Corso. It also happens to be near the jewelry company’s flagship store. Plus, you’re super close to the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, where you’ll find some of the best views in the city.
Rooms
The new Bulgari Hotel will have more than 100 rooms, most of them suites. This means you have plenty of options. If the Bulgari Hotel Rome is anything like the Bulgari in Milan, and we expect it will be, you can count on top-notch luxury. The Milan version has a variety of suites and rooms to choose from, ranging from premium rooms to the Bulgari, a two-bedroom suite with a rooftop garden.
Dining
When choosing where to stay in Rome, a place with exquisite eats is a must. It’s Italy, after all. Luckily, the Bulgari Hotel is set to open with an on-premise eatery called Il Ristorante, headed by Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito. And trust us, you’re going to want to brag to your friends that you were one of the first people to dine at this place. There will also be the Bulgari Bar, where you can enjoy pre-dinner drinks.
