There’s no denying that Switzerland is heaven on Earth for all those who like winter sports. After all, St. Moritz, Gstaad, Andermatt, Zermatt – they are the crème de la crème of European ski resorts and they are all located in Swiss Alps. But limiting your trips to Helvetia to winter is a mistake that only amateur travelers should make. The country is open year-round for luxe and outdoorsy endeavors, from wine tasting in Lavaux to taking a scenic helicopter around Lauterbrunnen, riding the Glacier Express or watch shopping in Zurich. And to make sure you get to do all of the above and more in Switzerland this summer, we’ve selected six new luxury hotels that will take your Swiss vacation to the next level.
Grand Hotel Belvedere, Beaumier Hotel

Address: Galliweidli 1440E, 3823 Wengen, Switzerland
There’s never been a more aptly named hotel than the Grand Hotel Belvedere in Wengen. Because, in case you haven’t brushed up on your architectural jargon recently, ‘belvedere’ is a term for a structure that allows you to enjoy beautiful views. And this newly renovated property certainly does that by facing the Jungfrau, one of the most iconic summits in the Bernese Alps, and by overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
The Grand Hotel Belvedere isn’t exactly new – it opened for the first time in 1912. But because it’s been acquired and totally revamped by France’s Beaumier hospitality group less than two years ago, it’s new-ish.
While the new owners certainly modernized the property with a Japanese-inspired spa, a wellbeing yurt, high-end food-and-drink venues, and even yoga retreats, the Alpine charm and old-time elegance remains intact. The facade of this property alone will make your heart skip a beat — but there’s plenty more inside to make you swoon.
Le Clay

Address: Chemin du Signal 8, 1070 Puidoux, Switzerland
Le Clay is so new that it’s not open just yet. The much-awaited property, set on 90 acres of gardens and grounds near Switzerland’s UNESCO-listed vineyards, will launch in late 2026.
The ethos of this soon-to-open hotel is to be in harmony with the surrounding natural landscape. The sweeping views of Lake Geneva will help, and so will the on-site restaurants and bars who will build their menus around extra-local and seasonal ingredients. The interior decor, meant to be an extension of the outdoors, will strike the perfect mood.
Le Clay’s focus will be on fitness, wellbeing, and culinary experiences. A trifecta of delights if there ever was one for the health-conscious travelers.
The Park Gstaad, Four Seasons Hotel

Address: Wispilenstrasse 29, 3780, Gstaad, Bern Switzerland
The 1910 Park Gstaad hotel has recently been acquired by Four Seasons and is undergoing a thorough renovation. That means you won’t be able to stay there this summer, but it will be ready for a winter trip at the end of 2026.
With Gstaad being a vacation destination for the ultra rich, Four Seasons is planning to make The Park Gstaad into one of the most luxurious properties in the town – and the competition is stiff. The views of the village and the Alps are top notch and won’t change, obviously — but The Park Gstaad has more in store to impress guests. The chalet-like exterior, a magnet for travelers in search of an authentic Swiss experience, will remain the same. The interior decor will artfully mix traditional alpine coziness with some contemporary design and furnishing – the best of both worlds.
The culinary offerings at The Park Gstaad are bound to attract food-obsessed travelers. With seven restaurants and lounges on site, you’ll be able to lunch on fondue and dine on sushi if that’s what your heart desires.
Chesa Marchetta, Sils Maria

Address: Via da Marias 88, Segl-Maria, Graubunden, Switzerland 7514 Sils Maria
Chesa Marchetta opened its doors for the first time in December 2025 for the winter, and is reopening on June 11, 2026, which is perfect timing for your summer stint in Switzerland. But if you want to score a room at this unbelievably charming boutique hotel, you’re going to have to book quickly. Because with only 13 rooms and a reputation on the up and up, it’s going to fill up fast.
Chesa Marchetta is unlike any hotel you’ve ever stayed at before. Not only is it small, but every single aspect of it is in line with the traditions of the Engadin region of Switzerland, where it’s located. The furniture and the art in each of the rooms is local, and so are the offerings at the onsite restaurant. In fact, the decor is so quaint that staying there feels a little bit like time traveling, but in the best way possible.
Chesa Marchetta is the ideal property to book if you want to feel a little removed from the modern world, and even go through a bit of a digital detox. Because a phone or a laptop would look very much out of place in this marvellously intimate property.
Huus Quell

Address: Dorfstrasse 40, Gonten, Switzerland
Since it opened in October 2025, Huss Quell has been the talk of the town. The five-star property is exactly what you’d expect from a Swiss chalet. It has peaked roofs, a wooden-slat exterior and is set among the mountains – but it’s also undeniably contemporary. Inside, it’s the same story, with an abundance of woodwork and clean lines, and a minimalist approach to furnishings. It’s the perfect example of a 21st-century Swiss chalet.
The star of the show at Huus Quell isn’t the decor, however: it’s the immense spa. With a solid treatment menu, nine pools, eight saunas, and even a steam grotto, you’re bound to relax. The biohacking treatments on offer, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy and cryotherapy will ensure that you age well. The hotel also offers an activity menu to keep you fit during your vacations which includes yoga, aquagym, HIIT and more. You can even rent e-bikes, snowshoes, Nordic walking poles, and hiking poles if you prefer to take your fitness outdoors.
