You’re going to have a lot of QT with family this year, as group celebrations are back. Oh, and travel is back, too. All of which means the travel envy that celebrities and their broods give us will also be returning with a bang. Here are three spots where celebrity families vacation for the holidays. Sometimes, they are like us; other times, not so much.
The Family: Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell and Kate Hudson
The Destination: Aspen
Though they were just playing Mr. & Mrs. Claus in the Netflix hit, The Christmas Chronicles, Kurt and Goldie probably should be considered real-life versions of the beloved festive couple. They raised daughter Kate Hudson in Snowmass, Colorado, and are no strangers to furry coats and sturdy boots. Now, the entire clan vacations together in Aspen for the holidays to get in touch with their roots. Along with a slew of other celebrity families, too. Amid skiing and holiday shopping, the Hawn/Russell/Hudson clan finds time to connect, both on the slopes and in town. If you and your fam have Aspen on the brain this year, we have you covered.
Where to Stay: The Little Nell or The St. Regis
The Family: The Hiltons
The Destination: Hawaii
Paris is probably off on her honeymoon right now, but we’re betting she’ll be back in time for the Hiltons’ (almost) annual trip to Hawaii for the holidays. Paris, Nicky and their parents make sure to line up their schedules to squeeze in a trip to this tropical paradise in December. As for where to stay, Paris likes the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea. We have a guide for you if your fam is looking to have a Hilton-inspired Hawaiian adventure.
Where to Stay: The Four Seasons Lanai (Galavante’s recommendation)
The Family: Bezos & Crew
The Destinations: Rome, Tanzania & Outer Space
We know you’re busy, so celebrities’ vacation locales may not be top of your mind. But have you ever wondered where one of the most successful men in the world vacations? When not busy earning billions, Jeff Bezos makes time for the people that matter to him. He flies his whole crew to the most beautiful places in the world — even if only for a quick trip. He recently took his parents and siblings to the Campo de’ Fiori market in Rome for an afternoon stroll and pizza lunch. And for the holidays, he’s taken his crew to Mwiba Lodge in Tanzania for a once-in-a-lifetime safari.
Jeff also shares his otherworldly experiences with his family, most recently, by taking his brother into space. While space travel may still be just for Jeff and crew (and those with $28 mil lying around), we have some out-of-this-world spots that are still within the atmosphere.
