Beatrice Inn New York City

The Inn Crowd: Beatrice Inn

The scoop: Once upon a time, there was a sweaty, ventilation-free underground club in lower Manhattan where you could smoke, drink, and dance with the Olsen twins until the wee morning hours. (That’s assuming you could get in to start with.) This place was called the Beatrice Inn, and it was awesome. Unfortunately, its moment ended back in 2010, in an angry flurry of stodgy neighbors and fire code violations. And we miss it. But, much like MK and Ashley, we’ve been doing some growing over the last three years; so we were quite pleased when none other than Vanity Fair mogul Graydon Carter decided to reopen the space in a more mature, similarly celeb-heavy but distinctly un-divey manner.

The ingredient: The Beatrice Inn is now a chophouse, and you can expect a memorable cocktail program, appetizers that suit both hearty appetites as well as those whose main concern is prepping for an upcoming nude scene, and all the roasted chicken, New York strip, and local trout you could possibly want.

The scene: Since The Beatrice Inn is run by a real authority on New York culture, you can rest assured that while it’s definitely cleaned up its act, it hasn’t lost any of its A-list luster. There’s Charlie Rose with his entourage, and Miranda Kerr with hubby Orlando. And – thankfully – the Olsens are still regulars. Because seriously, where would we be without the Olsens?
