We respect anyone who has achieved the rarified feat of visiting all 195 countries, especially since out of 7.6 billion people in the world, fewer than 30 individuals (less than a third of them women) have done so. As commendable as this achievement is, our journey takes it next level, like when you travel with us. We change lives with travel, and that’s what our travel show, The 195, will do. Whether it’s feeding 20,000 kids a day or hanging with our friends, who just may be the King and Queen of one of the most beautiful countries in the world, we have a story to tell. Join us in the storytelling by being part of our GoFundMe.
We’re not a non-profit, but we are changing the world, mentoring women leaders in Afghanistan who will one day be part of political leadership and real change, working with women entrepreneurs in Rwanda, one of the most progressive countries in Africa and partnering with United Nations food organizations, to make sure everyone gets a meal. And that’s just to start. Creating our travel show, creates awareness, and for those who are game, promotes global involvement in making our world as citizens of the world, the best it can be. Here’s what your contribution to creating our show will fund:
Through our show, The 195, you will have a chance to make a difference through your contribution. We are changing the world, and you are going to be a part of that. Your donation will go to paying our NYC-based writers, directors, photo editors, our Director of Photography and our Executive Producer. Please note donations will not be used for travel expenses or expenses incurred outside of the US.
For your generous contributions, you will receive our heartfelt thank you and make a difference in the world. Here’s what your donations will fund for our show:
$1 – $1,000 – A full day of our Director of Photography on set. For your contribution, you will be recognized on our website, receive a personal thank you from our team and a thank you note from Founder Christine Drinan.
$2,500 – A full day of our camera crew who will tell the stories of the women, children and families we are helping around the world. In addition to receiving all of the above, you’ll receive a special thanks in the credit of our first show and an IMDB credit.
$5,000 – Our Post Production Color Correction Editor, who will take our beautiful footage and make it even more beautiful for the big screen. In addition to receiving all of the above, you and a guest will be invited for cocktails and canapes at Founder Christine Drinan’s home, along with some of our crew, for a Galavante-style evening.
$10,000 – Our Motion Graphics Editor who takes the episode we will create to the next level so that we can share the story with the most people to raise awareness and inspire us all to be citizens of the world. In lieu of the cocktails and canapes, our At Home With Galavante Team will make you a dinner in your home, for you and up to 6 guests in the Tri-State Area within 50 miles of NYC.
$25,000 – The cost of our Editor who will take several months to take the beautiful footage we’re going to film, and to make it into an episode to share the stories around the world. In addition to the dinner in your home, you’ll receive a producer credit – your name in lights – as part of The 195.
$50,000 – The cost of our filming crew’s salaries while we are on the ground telling stories and teaching, mentoring and inspiring the young people who will make the change in their countries. Your chance to be part of our crew, on location, in one episode, that will be your trip of a lifetime.
But really, any amount means that you believe that we can do the impossible, which is what we’ve been doing from Day 1 of Galavante, since we started 9 years ago. Thank you for believing in us, whether it’s to join us through support of the project or send us your well-wishes and good vibes. Thank you for always being in our corner.
Disclosure: No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to our GoFundMe campaign. Your donation is about supporting our work to make this world a better place, and to always have our deepest gratitude as we work to share stories, improve lives, promote cultural understanding through travel.
