Abhilash Jayachandra

Copy Editor and Contributor

Abhilash Jayachandra is a contributor and copyeditor at Galavante. His work focuses on Travel News and Hotel Reviews. He started writing essays about food in 2022. They are based on his experience visiting his family’s ancestral home during summer holidays and tasting the vibrant and spicy local cuisines. Favorite Destination

Goa. Goa faces the West and has my favorite time of the day: dusk. But, any place with a beach, really.

Most Exotic Destination Travelled

Udaipur. It is a historic place full of grand palaces and beautiful lakes. The culture alone was so colorful that it made a lasting impression.

On My Bucket List

Iceland because I want to try the hot-spring-baked cake. Japan because I’ve read too many books and travel pieces on it and I am left with a gigantic FOMO.

Travel Philosophy

Travel alone at least once a year, keep quiet about it, don’t post about it, don’t talk about it. Keep the destination, the experience, the joy, the heartache all to yourself. It’s meant only for you and the people you meet along the way, and they will keep your secret.
