Audemars Piguet Café Singapore

Caolan O'Neill Forde, Staff Writer

It’s official; luxury watches are now in the restaurant biz. Audemars Piguet opened their first café in Singapore. Although, we must say, “café” hardly does it justice. Think about short rib raclette pot pie — not just your average croissant. So, for their latest venture, Audemars Piguet has traded watch winders for whisks, serving up their Swiss roots with a side of sizzling Singaporean flair.

The AP Café

The AP Café swung open its doors in January 2025, marking Audemars Piguet’s grand entrance into the food and beverage world. It’s hidden within the stylish AP House, on the third floor of the iconic Raffles Hotel in Singapore. And, we can safely say that it’s a timely and delicious surprise. This strategic move reflects a growing trend among luxury brands. Everywhere you look, luxury brands are crafting immersive lifestyle experiences that extend beyond their core products. Think of Coach Café on Keong Saik Road, Ralph’s Coffee by Ralph Lauren at Shaw Centre and Marina Bay Sands, and the Prada Café at Ion Orchard. Even luxury automaker Audi is joining the scene with plans to open a bakery and café at its upcoming House of Progress lifestyle space.

Ilaria Resta, Audemars Piguet’s CEO, is the mastermind behind this tasty venture. She envisioned the AP House evolving into a space where guests could not only admire exquisite timepieces, but also savor a culinary experience that mirrored the brand’s Swiss elegance and Singapore’s dynamic food scene.

Food + Beverage

The menu is a playful nod to Swiss classics, but given a Singaporean makeover. For a savory experience, there’s the Golden Roesti — a luxurious take on the classic roesti, reimagined in bite-sized portions and adorned with caviar and gold flakes. There’s also the Spiced Beef Tartare, where the traditional recipe takes an exciting turn with the addition of sriracha, served alongside crispy wonton skins.

Another popular offering is the Chicken Rice Club Sandwich — a creative twist on a Singaporean staple. This creation reimagines the beloved chicken rice dish, artfully layering its signature flavors within a classic sandwich format. House-made ginger and chili sauces provide a nuanced and vibrant finish.

And for those with decidedly sweet teeth, the AP Café offers a tempting selection of desserts. Indulge in the Hazelnut Crunch, the Swiss Roll with HoneyComb and Honey Ice Cream, or the Gula Melaka Pain Suisse.

The Setting

The AP House itself is a sight to behold. Spanning 1,000 square meters, it’s an ultra-contemporary living space complete with a billiard table, a central bar, and a Watch Wall that showcases Audemars Piguet’s latest creations. Muted green and gold accents create a warm, inviting vibe. It’s perfect for unwinding, and diving deep into the world of AP. Who knew watches and gourmet cuisine could be such a perfect pairing?
