When you get an endorsement from Tom Ford, you know you’re doing something right. We especially like LaQuan Smith because he’s an underdog. Both Parsons and FIT didn’t admit him as a student, but as they say, “Look at me now”. His brand started in 2013 with 3D leggings, which is what got him noticed. Beyonce, J Lo, Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian all were early adopters, to name a few.
What We Like About It
There’s a time and place to blend in. With his designs, that’s pretty much never. We like that his pieces get you noticed. In fact, we discovered him because we saw a few dresses on celebs, and googled it up. We particularly obsessed over the one Hailey Bieber wore in Paris to meet the President. He has been our cutout dress obsession since.
