Christine Drinan is a long-time philanthropist, with over 20+ years of non-profit Board and volunteer experience. Her charitable work is deeply intertwined with her role as the CEO of Galavante, a travel and lifestyle media and e-commerce company. As part of her work, Christine has been to over 130+ countries. On her travels, she works to improve the lives of the individuals and to make a positive impact on communities.
In 2019, Christine guest lectured at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) in Kabul. She had the privilege to become a mentor to the female scholarship recipients at AUAF. Christine is actively involved in the evacuation, resettlement and continuing education of Afghan women.
Professionally, Christine worked in finance at private equity firm Blackstone. She founded Galavante in 2011 when she graduated from Columbia Business School. Christine is conversational in French and German, and she is a beginner in Spanish and Arabic. She is on her way to become one of less than ten women in the world to reach all 195 independent nations. When she’s not on an airplane, she lives in New York City, her favorite place in the world.
