Giving Tuesday, Auction, Dinners & More

Christine Drinan + The GITW Board

Woody Creek Silent Auction

A note from Christine Drinan on behalf of the GITW Board

We have the best people, especially you, who want to make a difference in the world. Galavante’s non-profit will be auctioning RHONY Ubah Hassan’s art, the only chance you have to own a piece from her personal collection. Adding to the list of lifetime experiences is a Woody Creek whiskey tasting with some familiar faces on the Aspen scene. And for every donation over $2,500, you get a special dinner invitation with GITW and our students. This is your chance to make a direct impact on an exceptional individual’s future opportunities. Check out how to be part of Giving Tuesday and change lives here.

When You Give, You Receive

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re pretty blessed in life. Personally, the more success I’ve had, the more I realize how the energy you put into the world directly affects what you receive. With that said though, at Galavante we’ve never operated under quid pro quo. We’ve given to deserving people with all our hearts, with no expectation of anything in return. I think this is what makes the whole intention behind the Galavante in The World Foundation (GITW) pretty darn special. Our purpose has been to directly impact the lives of communities we connect with both near home and around the world. With your support, we’ve given with open hearts to children and families to have a meal. And, as many of you know, some of the greatest impact is our support and mentorship of women to have a chance to pursue their dreams of education.

We can’t deny that something extraordinary has happened over the past twelve years. Recently, I was in Paris meeting our student Lima, with whom I had been in touch for over two years now. She is proof that you can love someone you’ve never met. You can see part of her story here, and maybe one day when it’s safe for her, we’ll be lucky to share more. Her story is nothing short of life-changing in how I view the world today.  At GITW we are committed to continuing our work with our Afghan women students. We will also expand our work to other critical humanitarian projects with your support.

Ways to Make a Difference

Giving Tuesday is on November 28th this year, and whether you give to women’s education at GITW, or to any cause that is dear to your heart, we hope that you give. At GITW, we continue to focus on funding education for Afghan women and modest living stipends as they make their way to Europe, the U.S., and Canada for graduate school. As always,100% of the proceeds go directly to our exceptional students.
Also just in time for the holidays, please keep a lookout for a Charity Buzz announcement. We have an original piece of art by Real Housewife of New York Ubah Hassan, and a Whiskey Tasting in Aspen with some familiar faces at Woody Creek to support our projects.
For those donors who support at the $2,500 and above level, you will receive a special invitation to a dinner with the GITW team and our students. However, all amounts are deeply, greatly appreciated. We can’t continue our work without you.
All contributions to GITW are tax-deductible as allowed by law; you can make a difference with us here.
