Suite 200 at Madison Square Garden

Suite 200 at MSG

There are all sorts of insider experiences in New York that pretty much just require you to know someone and/or have a credit card with a high enough limit. But there are some places where it’s not about who you know, but rather who you are. Welcome to Suite 200, the owner’s suite at Madison Square Garden. It’s one thing money can’t buy and that is a #goals experience.

Celebrity Row

You might be familiar with “celebrity row”, the first few rows of court-side seats at a basketball game. And nowhere is the concept more pertinent than at Madison Square Garden. Here, Knicks games are 40% about the sport and 60% about A-lister sightings. MSG sees value in stacking the stadium with recognizable faces, so much so that it’s become a part of the Knicks’ brand. Their thought process? If you got to see Pete Davidson on the celebrity cam, would you really care if the team won or lost?

The VIP’s Club

But there are some celebrity regulars at MSG who you might not see at all, and that’s entirely on purpose. It’s because they’re somewhere even more exclusive– the owner’s suite, also known as Suite 200. Along with a slew of other perks, the suite promises the highest level of discretion. That means taking a special side entrance, riding separate private elevators, and getting set up in the VIP clubhouse. The luxury is reserved for true friends of the venue, meaning that an invite often comes with some sort of trade-off for the A-listers. Sometimes that looks like doing promotional content for MSG or partnering up with one of the Knicks’ charity organizations.

Whatever they ask of you, if you’re lucky enough to get tapped you do. Especially when you consider what goes on inside the suite. Celebs are able to socialize and chill without the glare of cameras. Like we said, part of the allure is Suite 200’s super-secret quality. Yes, we have been, and officially never set foot in MSG unless it’s with an invite to Suite 200. The clubhouse sports an open bar with wines like Stags Leap, luxury catering from Jean-Georges, sushi, caviar and a big dessert bar. All free of charge, of course. Then when it comes time to see the game, you’re brought with your own personal escort to your courtside seats.

If you want a chance to get into the suite, we’re sorry to deliver the news. Unless you are or happen to know an A-lister yourself, the chances are slim. But hey, miracles can happen.
