St. Tropez

Welcome to The Travel Shop, your source on Galavante for the ultimate getaways around the world. We curate four days for you, and this week you’re in a rosé-all-day frame of mind. We’ve got you covered: from the time you land in St. Tropez until you’ve had your last sip of wine. This is an exclusive preview before the Travel Shop officially launches, of Lily in the Valley. It’s where to stay in St. Tropez, for the optimal combination of wellness and fun.

Lily of the Valley

After you land in St. Tropez, the first thing you should do is make your way to Lily of the Valley, a luxury wellness hotel. Overlooking the ocean, the hotel is nestled in the protected hills of Cap Lardier. This landscape is what is known as the green lungs of the French Riviera, to give you a sense of how special the area is.

One of the high points of Lily of the Valley is its location. Lily of the Valley is fairly close to the hustle and bustle of St. Tropez proper (and famous beaches like Plage de Gigaro), but also far enough away that the experience is still serene and peaceful. In other words, close enough to dance on a table at the Caves du Roy, yet removed enough to completely unplug and relax.

The hotel itself is spread out across multiple buildings, all offering rooms and suites immersed in nature. Lily has its own beach club on some of the longest pristine beach in St. Tropez.  The property has all the food choices and amenities, where for off-season stays, it allows you to immerse into the French countryside. Which brings us to what Lily of the Valley is known for:  its wellness program.

The Wellness Program

The Lily’s weight-loss program, called the Shape Club, is pioneered by nutritionist Dr. Jacques Fricker. Fricker, who has 10 years’ experience working in the trenches of Paris, has developed his “TGV method.” This method synthesizes various components of wellness practices into one program. These elements comprise fitness excursions, body treatments, nutritional menus, and personal advisors.

The program comes in four packages. Discovery is a four-day program, Reboot is seven days, Reset is 14 days, and Reborn is 21 days. By participating in a program, guests get access to plenty of amenities. Enjoy the large fitness room and studios, the heated olympic size pool, treatments and consultation rooms for massages and detox practices, the steam room, sauna, and a snow shower.

Dining

Of course, participating in these programs still gives you free time. You could go to the beach, relax around the property, eat at the incredible restaurants, or explore St. Tropez. Two of Lily of the Valley’s restaurants are located at the beach club on Plage de Gigaro. Brigantine focuses on Italian cuisine. Guests can eat on the terrace just a few steps from the ocean. Pépé specializes in local fare with a seasonal menu and an emphasis on health. Back in the main part of the hotel, you can dine at Le Vista, which boasts a beautiful terrace with amazing views. The Club House has a relaxing interior; it’s a great place to grab a smoothie between workouts.
