Four Seasons Los Cabos Families

The best gift you can give your kids isn’t Thomas the Train. Or, even that Bentley electric car (though the Continental convertible is pretty cool). Instead, it’s quality time together, preferably with lots of sunshine and a beautiful beach. These are the top family-friendly resorts to put on the list for this winter season.

The Resort: Four Seasons Nevis

Location: Nevis, West Indies

Overview

The setup of the Four Seasons Nevis on a Robert Trent Jones championship golf course set on 3 miles of beachfront makes it naturally family friendly. In addition to generously sized rooms in the main hotel, there are residences throughout the property that encourage longer stays. The homes wind around the golf course, where young kids can learn the game on the put put course, and older kids can play with the parents. The beach itself is expansive for the family to partake in watersports as well as sea-based exploration of Nevis.

The Four Seasons Nevis Kids Club offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for kids between 3 to 9 years old. Destination specific activities include a coconut walk, sea turtle education, sand castle building and hair braiding. Compared to other Caribbean islands like St. Barths, the Four Seasons Nevis is also good value for a family vacation.

The Resort: Jumby Bay

Location: Antigua

Overview

When you want to blow out your family vacation in one of the most luxurious family resorts in the Caribbean, Jumby Bay is for you. You know a place is baller when everyone from Mariah Carey to Will Smith vacation on isle. As part of the Oetker Collection, Jumby Bay sets the standard for a luxury family vacation in the Caribbean.

Besides rooms that face the beach, Jumby Bay has over twenty massive villas with up to nine bedrooms to hunker down with the family. Additionally your nightly rate includes food and beverage, so your family can eat and drink to their heart’s desire. The food is also some of the best in all of the family hotels in the Caribbean, with six unique dining and bar options on the private island.

The Resort: Rosewood Bermuda

Location: Bermuda

Overview

We know that this is an article about the best family hotels in the Caribbean, but we have to include Rosewood Bermuda. It’s perhaps the only East Coast Atlantic island that has pink sand beaches to rival that of any Caribbean isle. There is a unique culture on the island of Bermuda that has long attracted a loyal repeat clientele. Set on Tucker’s Point, Rosewood Bermuda is the grand dame top hotel on the island.

The unique aspect for families at Rosewood Bermuda is that you and your kids will be on the same vacation. The activities of golf, croquet, beaches for miles and tennis encourage a togetherness for families. Boating is part of the culture in Bermuda, where you can explore the island with your family for a day.

The Resort: Four Seasons Anguilla

Location: Anguilla

Overview

As far as the best family resorts in the Caribbean go, the Four Seasons Anguilla is firmly on the list. The regular rooms are some of the largest in the Caribbean, where even a one bedroom suite is ample for a family of four. But if you really want everyone to be comfortable, there are a variety of two and three bedrooms as well as villas where you can dip your toes in the sand. Eighty percent of the rooms have ocean views, so your accommodation is going to be tops. While the competition is tough on this list, we would say that the Four Seasons Anguilla has the best rooms of the top family resorts in the Caribbean.

Children specific activities on property include jewelry making, scavenger hunts and special baking classes. There’s also a soccer camp at special times during the year. Besides that, there’s a family pool as well as a slice of beach front where you can walk to nearby restaurants off-property.

The Resort: Ritz Grand Cayman

Location: Cayman Islands

Overview

The Ritz-Carlton Cayman Islands is set on 7 miles of beach, which automatically qualifies it as one of the top family resorts in the Caribbean. After all, the beach is a big reason that you take your family on vacation to the islands, and the Ritz has a prime access. The Ritz was recently renovated, so the rooms are also some of the most comfortable and modern as far as family resorts in the Caribbean go. In addition to the beach, there is an elaborate family pool set up at the property’s Starfish Cay. It’s like a mini water park with a zero-entry splash pool, water slides and a bucket waterfall.

Dining is some of the best of the family resorts in the Caribbean. Eric Ripert has a restaurant at the resort, along with four other options which range from Italian to Japanese. Chef Ripert hosts the annual Cayman Cookout each January, which brings in the top food and wine experts from around the world.

The Resort: Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas

Location: Mexico

Overview

Cabo San Lucas has long been a popular Mexico destination for families. However, the location of Cabo on the Atlantic Ocean has never been optimal for families to enjoy and swim at the beach because of rough waters. Enter in the Four Seasons Los Cabos at Las Palmas, and you have yourself one of the most family-friendly resorts in Mexico. Located on the Sea of Cortes on the East Cape, the Four Seasons is like a European village set on a calm sea. It’s one of the more sophisticated and elegant resorts as well in Mexico for families.

The Four Seasons kids program gives guests ages 4 to 12 complimentary access to daily fun from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Special destination focused activities include making your own piñata and a Baja seashell hunt. For older kids there is a club room with pool and ping pong tables, and beach activities like stand up paddle and kayaking. The Four Seasons concierge can also arrange boat trips and activities tailored to interest for the whole family.
