It’s not breaking news to say that cruising is having a moment. To everyone’s surprise, post COVID, interest in sea travel skyrocketed. The phenomenon incited all cruise lines, from the family-oriented ones to those focused on adventurous voyages, to build new ships, craft new and exciting routes, and go above and beyond on their on-board offerings. And the big luxury brands have not let this opportunity pass them by. Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and even Orient Express – they all jumped on the cruising bandwagon. Not wanting to be left out, Aman, the ultra-luxury hospitality brand, will be launching its first ship, Amangati, in 2027. To say that we’re impatient to see it is the understatement of the year.
What Kind Of Ship Will Amangati Be?

Aman’s mission for its first ship is to replicate the beauty, serenity, and high level of service that guests find in Aman hotels. Therefore, unsurprisingly, Amangati will not be a gigantic cruise ship capable of accommodating thousands of people. Instead, it will be an opulent yacht that will welcome only 94 guests.
Amangati Suites

Every single one of the 47 suites will be inspired by a Japanese ryokan, with shoji doors, tatamis, minimalistic furniture, and neutral colors. Each suite will feature large, rectangular volumes with 8.2-foot-tall ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a sweeping terrace. There will be five different types of suites available for booking, ranging from the 3,811-square-foot Aman suite to the 703-square-foot Deluxe Suite. No matter your choice, you won’t lack space.
Amenities On Board Amangati
There will be a total of eight dining and lounge venues on board Aman’s first yacht, including Akari, an omakase counter and sake bar, and Hiori, a teppanyaki restaurant. Japanese culture is indisputably the red thread throughout Amangati.

The onboard spa, rumored to be the largest in luxury yachting, will not disappoint. The two-storey Japanese garden will make sure of that. There will be eight treatment rooms on board, including some devoted to advanced medical therapies – there will be a lot more than massages and pedicures on the menu.
The fitness studio, adjacent to the open-air yoga-and-meditation deck and the Sea Pools, will be the perfect spot to keep your exercise routine while at sea.
Other onboard amenities will include a jazz bar, a 12-person cinema, and most importantly, a gelato bar.
Amangati’s Itineraries

For its first season, Amangati will sail the Mediterranean, exploring the French Côte d’Azur, Southern Spain, The Italian Riviera, Sicily, the Greek Islands, Malta, Croatia, Turkey, and more.
If you’re keen to sail the Med next year, but don’t want to do it with strangers, know that you can charter Amangati and tailor your own perfect vacation on board this yacht.
