YOUR INSPIRATION TO EXPLORE THE WORLD

NYC – Where to Get Your Holiday On

NYC Nomad Christmas

Many of us are locking down again with our quaranteam because, as New Yorkers, we do what we gotta do. It is the holidays, though, and as innovative New Yorkers, you can still celebrate at these spots, which are going to great lengths to keep the wellness distancing up and the holiday spirits high. Full disclosure – we’re taking the holidays day by day, so today these options are open, but call first and above all, stay safe, healthy and happy this holiday in NYC.

The Nomad Rooftop

We are so glad they are reopening on December 7th on the rooftop terrace, which is a covered, heated outdoor space, that is as good as it gets for outdoor dining.  Atmosphere is lavish Persian rugs, crystal chandeliers and enough velvet to feel like you’re in a Parisian bordello.  A classy one, of course, where food and fun are the focus.

Carbone

We haven’t done a scientific study yet, but if you’re following Page Six, if you’re a celebrity, you’ve dined at least once at Carbone this pandemic.  They are taking reservations as of today until December 7th, so there’s no better time than now to indulge in plates of spicy rigatoni vodka and Lobster Fra Diovolo.  If indoor dining is allowed for Christmas, our fingers are crossed they stay open to bring in the holidays.

Le Bernardin

While no one has a crystal ball, the team at Le Bernardin is optimistic and making plans to get you fed (well) on Christmas through New Year’s.  With a tasting menu of the thinnest pounded tuna carpaccio, dover sole and grilled lobster, they are taking the Feast of the Seven Fishes to the next level.

Aquavit

The Scandinavians know how to bring in the holidays, and from now until the 24th of December, Aquavit is going gangbusters on the Christmas celebrations with special menus, culminating in the ultimate Christmas Eve brunch on the 24th with a smorgasbord served family style at your table.  Their takeout is also more than solid, if you want to enjoy Aquavit in the comforts of your own warm, home.

At Home With Galavante

Rain, snow, sleet, shine – it doesn’t matter.  Our Michelin-level chefs are ready to cook for you this holiday season, up until the 30th of December.  We will create a custom menu for your nearest and dearest, and bring the restaurant experience home to you.  Message us at [email protected] to get hooked up.
