The Location
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is on the Big Island of Kona, on the north coast. It’s set right on the ocean, with white sand beaches and volcanic black lava landscape. To arrive at the Four Seasons Hualalai, you fly into Kona International Airport. Of course we assume though, that for Sofia Richie’s engagement, she flew private.
The Hotel
The Four Seasons Hualalai has eight outdoor pools, including a 1.8 million aquarium where you can get up close and personal with the aquatic life. There is also an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course that has views of the ocean and beach. As you would expect from a Four Seasons, there’s a world-class spa and fitness center. They also have a top concierge team to arrange everything from surf lessons to helicopter rides around the island. For Sofia Richie’s engagement, you know that she and her friends took well advantage of all that the Four Seasons Hualalai has to offer.
The Restaurants
There are six different dining options at the Four Seasons Hualali. For Sofia Richie’s engagement, her now-husband Elliot Grainge brought in all of her friends to celebrate. They had a private celebration, but the resort serves everything from sushi to pizzas, and everything in between. A favorite is the ‘Ulu Sushi Lounge, because you can catch the perfect sunset over bites of sushi caught fresh that day.
The Rooms
There are three signature villas that are part of the Four Seasons Hualalai, which include a Presidential Villa, that has over 5,200 square feet. The villa has four bedrooms, and sits right on the ocean. There are 243 rooms total, though from experience, your room view matters. This is the place to splurge on ocean front. Not that you’ll be spending that much time though in your room, if you are into exploring. With its location on the Big Island, the Four Seasons Hualali is a jumping off point to see the best of Hawaii. Clearly for Sofia Richie’s engagement, her now husband Elliot Grainge only wanted exactly that: the best.
