LVMH is on a tear for world domination, creating, acquiring and partnering with brand after brand in the hotel space. Their first foray was the acquisition of Belmond, which is better than ever. Then a few years back they created Cheval Blanc, which by all accounts, they knocked out of the park. And now they’re opening up a Louis Vuitton Hotel, right in the center of Paris. With a slated arrival date of 2026, you know a hotel with their name on it is going to set new luxury standards.

Location: Melides, Portugal
Christian Louboutin is one of the greatest living designers of all time. His red-bottomed shoes are beloved and coveted by everyone from teenage girls to billionaire heiresses. He has style in everything he does, and it’s a little known fact that he’s one of the most well-traveled individuals in the world. So you know his hotel, Vermelho, in an up-and-coming area of Portugal near the insider beaches of Comporta, is something special. And yes, accents of that famous red can be found throughout the design of the hotel.
The Designer: Fendi
The Hotel: Fendi Private Suites
Location: Rome
Located above the flagship Fendi store in Rome is one of the most chic places to stay. Fendi Private Suites is an insider spot that naturally only the most fashionable know. They are small but big on the attention to detail at Fendi. Every single item in the mini bar and toiletry in the bath are curated to the highest standards. The rooms have the finest materials and appointments throughout. And as for their hotel restaurant, we would say that’s better known as it was one of the first Zumas outside of London. The rooftop terrace is still a cool spot to grab a drink.

The Hotel: Armani Hotel Milano and Armani Hotel Dubai
Location: Milan and Dubai
Before it became remotely cool for a designer to open up a restaurant, Armani opened up his famous cafes. And before anyone in fashion design even thought to create a hotel portfolio, Armani Milan and Armani Dubai entered the scene. You can think of Armani as the OG of fashion designers who own hotels. It would be a shame after all not to have his sleek, elegant Italian minimalist design in a place to rest your head.
