Joelle Mentis, Staff Writer

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

The Olympics is officially back with maybe the most epic opening ceremony ever. Of course there were the athletes who are the real stars, who have worked their butts off to shine in the moment. But this year, there was something extra special. Was it the celebrities at the Olympics Opening Ceremony? In any other situation, that would have been the case. However, for the Summer Olympics 2024, the celebrities were outshone by the City of Lights. This summer’s opening ceremony was in the heart of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower as the backdrop. Unlike any other Olympic Opening Ceremony, a special stadium wasn’t built. In lieu of the athletes and delegates arriving on foot, they arrived by boat along the Seine. The 6 kilometer procession started at Austerlitz bridge and made its way to finale at the Trocadéro. It was a moment for the world, and the celebrities at the Olympics Opening Ceremony were just as in awe of the City of Lights.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

There were the VIP celebrities at the Olympics Opening Ceremony, then there was the arrival of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. They ruled the carpet, not only with their show-stopping fashion, but also with their two eldest children. The Olympics will be a family affair this week for the Legend-Teigen clan.

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron was one of the celebrities at the Olympics Opening Ceremony who just rules the red carpet. The night before, she stunned at the LVMH party and expect to see her with family this week at the Olympic games.
