Serves 6

Prep time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

8 fresh peaches, sliced

1 teaspoon cinnamon

3/4 cup plus four tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon plus 1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2/3 cup whole milk

1 can whole cranberry sauce

Procedure

To start, preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Next, butter a one 1/2 quart baking dish and arrange the sliced peaches in the center. Sprinkle 3/4 cup of brown sugar, cinnamon, and one tablespoon of flour over the peaches. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.

Now it is time to make the crust. Combine four tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse sand. Add milk and stir until it forms a soft dough.

Remove the baking dish from the oven and pour cranberry sauce over the peaches. Then, drop rounded spoonfuls of the dough on top of the fruit. Return the dish to the oven and bake until the crust is golden brown, which should take about 20 minutes. Enjoy your delicious peach and cranberry cobbler!
