We’re offering our readers a gourmet barbecue spread that will surely set off some fireworks. And right now, we’re focusing on making grilled s’mores, which you can teach to your hungry kids.
Introducing your kids to grilling: Grilled S’mores
Making these grilled s’mores might be the only thing that will pull your kids away from the sparklers this year.
Serves 8
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 2 minutes
Grilled S’mores Ingredients:
8 mini croissants, sliced in half
Eight marshmallows
8 squares of bittersweet chocolate
kosher salt
Procedure:
Preheat a charcoal grill over medium-low. Place sliced croissants on grill and toast for about one minute. Next, place one square of chocolate and one marshmallow on the bottom slice of each croissant and sprinkle with salt. Then, place the top slice back on. Toast each croissant on the grill, covered, for about 45 seconds, or until chocolate and marshmallows are melted. Serve your grilled s’mores warm and enjoy.
