To celebrate the clubhouse spirit of BLT Steak at the Ritz-Carlton San Juan, our recipe is a BLT Deluxe, made with maple bacon and heirloom tomatoes. But don’t worry – the kids won’t know it’s fancy; they’ll just know it’s yummy.
Makes 4 sandwiches.
Cook bacon in a medium pan until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel. Spread mayonnaise evenly on both sides of each piece of bread. Sauté in medium saucepan with bacon fat, 2–3 minutes per side, until golden-brown. Set bread aside.
Divide lettuce, tomato, and bacon among four pieces of bread; top with the remaining four.
