The Location
One&Only Mandarina is close to Punta Mita, set right on the under-developed coastline along the Riviera Nayarit. While it has access to a nearby white sand beach, this is a coastal rainforest retreat set up in the hills overlooking the surrounding mountains. So yes, there are views.
The Hotel
The One&Only is crushing in the design of their new hotel developments. The feel is eco-chic, since the resort is designed for style and sustainability. The hotel is secluded and low-key, and while a resort, it’s not your typical Cabo-resort vibe.
As a rainforest retreat, it’s only appropriate that the rooms are designed as treehouses. Luxury treehouses, of course. Rooms have private terraces and plunge pools, to take in those views. The early reviews are that the rooms are spacious and modern yet blend into the natural theme of the 200+ year old trees. For those traveling with families or another couple, there are two-bedroom villas that are over 2500+ square feet. The marquis accommodation is Villa One, with 18,000+ square feet and three bedrooms.
