Add in Miramonti’s unique modern design, and Miramonti quickly become an industry disruptor by bringing the classic Italian mountain retreats into this century. In fact, Miramonti’s elevated luxury made it a destination even as compelling as the Dolomites themselves. With the announcement of Monti, their new annex set to debut this fall, there may just be another reason to head to the Dolomites Here’s a look at what is in store at the Monti, a luxury hotel in the Dolomites. 

Overview

Miramonti’s newest offering takes being at one with nature to the next level. Monti has three new climate houses nestled in the forest, just steps away from the main hotel. Guests at Monti can take in the seclusion of their house, while still enjoying the amenities of the main hotel. From the looks of it, the Monti is a one-size-fits all. Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape or a family vacation, the Monti houses have the answer. Monti has three homes that range from one bedroom to three bedrooms. 

For eco-conscious travelers, Monti’s climate houses have natural construction and are powered on geothermal energy. So yes, you can enjoy a lavish vacation that is also kind to the environment. 

The houses themselves are architectural show-stoppers, almost Frank Lloyd Wright-esque in their harmony with the landscape. Their exteriors seamlessly blend sustainability with a modern aesthetic, while inside, guests are greeted with interiors crafted by Italian designer Harry Thaler. In addition to the expected comforts of a home retreat, each Monti house features an outdoor sauna, relaxation area, and cold therapy pots. 

Dining

For a boutique hotel, they have a comprehensive menu of restaurants. You can choose from Miramonti-Stube, Miramonti-Klassik, and Panorama restaurant. Panorama has floor to ceiling windows with a perfect view of the Merano valley. Chef Massimo Geromal helms the kitchen and creates seasonally crafted menus. 

For those looking to taste the German-influenced cuisine of South Tyrol, Miramonti-Stube is your best bet. Following traditions dating back to 1887, you can try original cheese raclette or table-side beef tartare in the cozy, wood-paneled restaurant. Last but not least, Mirtamoni-Klassik serves up simple meals that stick to traditional Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, . 

Spa + Gym

While staying at Monti you have full access to Miramonti’s spa, so of course, taking a dip in the hotel’s famous infinity pool is a must. The instagram worthy pool stretches out 16 meters and looks over the Merano valley below.

The spa also offers nature-centered experiences like a forest sauna, forest therapy, and an activity house that has personal training, yoga, and meditation sessions. For a more unique hands-on treatment, you can try the spa’s verbena porphyry massage that uses the same volcanic rock the hotel is built upon.
