You know they make the best bags, and their luggage is supreme. Maybe you’ve branched into their belts and shoes or even played around with LV’s ready-to-wear offers. But after today, you can go all in, because now they have a café in Paris and a new restaurant in St. Tropez. And yes, the Louis Vuitton restaurant is all decked out in the signature LV prints.
But First, Paris
The Maxime Frédéric Café at Louis Vuitton is in the exquisite Hotel Cheval Blanc overlooking the Seine. Originally, the cafe in the Louis Vuitton Store was designed to complement the LV exhibition in 2022. However, its popularity extended its tenure. The café is part of the Louis Vuitton Store in the hotel but can be accessed without visiting the store. With its tropical interiors, the café gives Miami vibes in Paris.
As a first, Maxime Frédéric designed the savory lunch menu for the cafeteria in the LV store at Cheval Blanc. Every dish has the signature Maison insignia on it. The 3-egg recipes: plain, chanterelle, and truffle with the crispy waffle, are waiting for you when you need a quick bite to nip the hunger. Otherwise, you can opt for the more substantial ravioli with shellfish or ricotta in the main course.
For many, it’s really the dessert that’s the main star of the show. The chef went all out with his experiments with chocolate. The hazelnut praline buckwheat is a signature dish to get your full LV experience on. In addition, the café also has a chocolaterie where you can buy the exclusive chocolates created by Maxime Frédéric for Louis Vuitton. So, now you have the perfect snack to keep in your Louis Vuitton bag.
St. Tropez
The Louis Vuitton restaurant popped up in the White 1921 Hotel on the Place des Lices in 2023. Like the Paris café, it’s back by popular demand for a second season in 2024. The St. Tropez locations are a joint effort of Chefs Maxime Frédéric and Arnaud Donckele. The ambiance of the restaurant is inspired by Louis Vuitton’s newest “By the Pool” collection which is also housed in the boutique adjacent to the restaurant.
Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Donckele has designed the restaurant menu keeping summer in mind. You can order the regional sushi rolls, sea bream ceviche, and truffle zitoni pasta. The chefs have worked together to craft a menu inspired by the French and Spanish countryside. Just like the ambiance, the menu too, is in tandem with Louis Vuitton’s “By the Pool” collection. But, it has to be said that in the case of the St. Tropez location, all good things come to a seasonal end. The Louis Vuitton Restaurant will close at the end of the season, September 2024.
