Travelers who seek out a vacation that combines outdoor adventures with luxury lodging, exceptional food and drinks, and generous wellness offerings tend to have their work cut out for them. It’s hard to have it all. Very few properties can cover all your specific needs and wants and make your dream trip come true – and Awasi Mendoza is one of them. The lodge, located at the foothills of the Andes, will have you sail, hike, or bike in the morning, sip some of the most delicious wines in the world in the afternoon, and squeeze in a session in the 5,400-square-foot space spa before dinner. And if you want to keep your Argentinian adventure hush-hush, you can stay at one of their gorgeous villas for extra privacy. How’s that for a well-rounded vacation?
The Location

Unlike some of the other Awasi properties, Awasi Mendoza isn’t remote. It’s only 40 minutes away from the city of Mendoza and less than one hour from El Plumerillo International Airport. You won’t have to spend hours on the road to get there, making for more quality time spent on site. That said, while the property isn’t isolated, it is set up on a 55-acre wine estate at the foothills of the Andes so you’ll have all the peace and quiet you need, in order to relax and take in the extraordinary scenery.
The Accommodations at Awasi Mendoza

Awasi Mendoza is intimate. There are only 17 rooms, suites, and villas — so you will never have to deal with crowds. All the accommodations have their own private and cozy outdoor spaces, all made for enjoying the views. We recommend that you choose an option with an outdoor pool and an outdoor fireplace, so that you can be out there no matter the weather. The villas, of which there are three different types ranging from 2196 to 3875 square feet of space, provide the most privacy. While the white exterior of Awasi Mendoza is decidedly minimalist, the interior decor throughout the property is rustic chic, with lots of natural materials and earthy hues — a choice that allows guests to feel at one with the landscape.
Experiences on offer at Awasi Mendoza
No matter how nice the accommodations, you did not travel all the way to Argentina to stay in your room. Awasi Mendoza offers its guests a wide range of private guided experiences, including horseback riding, sailing, biking, rafting, hiking, and wildlife watching — all of which are included. Guests even get a dedicated 4×4 vehicle for their outings. For those who are more interested in diving deep into regional specialties, there are cooking classes, winery visits, and wine tastings. You are in Argentina’s wine country after all.
Wine-Focused Wellness

The immense spa at Awasi Mendoza has all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a property of this caliber. There’s a sauna, hot tub, jet pool, and solarium for you to relax the days away. There is also a variety of treatments on offer, many of which focus on vinotherapy by using the byproducts of winemaking (grape seeds, skins, stems, and red wine) for skin care and relaxation.
Other Awasi Properties
While Awasi started less than 20 years ago, it already owns and operates some of the most spectacular properties in all of South America. Currently, the hospitality brand has five luxury lodges, including two in Chile (Awasi Atacama and Awasi Patagonia), one in Brazil (Awasi Santa Catarina), and two in Argentina (Awasi Iguazu, and Awasi Mendoza, the latest to open.)
