The Ram’s Head Inn’s is a rustic center-hall colonial with 17 charming and comfortable suites. Owner Aandrea Carter bought and refurbished the historic property a couple of years ago, taking it full circle: the inn was built and operated by a woman originally.
This isn’t the Four Seasons, but it isn’t meant to be. The atmosphere is quaint (in a good way), unpretentious, and low-key.
Sea-to-Table Dining
One of the highlights of the Ram’s Head Inn is its sea-to-table dining. On Thursday nights. several local oyster farmers sell their catch right off the boat. The inn has a produce and herb garden that’s overseen by a dedicated agricultural director, the wonderfully named Ariel Farmer. Guests can enjoy a meal on the patio or in the elegant dining room, which offers views for days of the surrounding landscape and water.
If you’re looking for wellness experiences, well, there’s a yoga studio on site. The inn also offers spa services, including massages, facials, and body treatments. On Sundays. the property has live Jazz. Monday is trivia night, and on Friday, there’s live music and dancing.
