Maksim Chmerkovskiy might be best known as a Dancing With the Stars cast member, but the ‘bad boy of the ballroom’ has been dancing since the age of 4. Maksim opened a youth-oriented competitive dance studio with his father at age 16. He then went on to place 2nd in the US for professional dancing in the International Latin category. From the start, there was no doubt he was destined for fame. Some would say that Maksim Chmerkovskiy is a household name, albeit one that requires a proficiency in spelling.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy has been to competitions all over the world. So, it’s no surprise that beyond the 34-city Dancing With the Stars tour, Maksim has done his fair share travel.
We caught up with the 15-time “Dancing With The Stars” pro (and new father) in NYC to celebrate Swiffer‘s 18th Birthday. Read on to find out where he’s been, where he’s going and where he loves to sleep (when he isn’t home).
Hilary: You’re so busy – have you vacationed at all in the past year?
Hilary: Is there anywhere you’re dying to visit?
