On January 7, after 10 years in the Meatpacking District, Stella McCartney moved to SoHo on Greene Street.
The esteemed designer hosted a cocktail reception and dinner party on January 9, featuring ice sculptures of the Empire State Building and Brooklyn Bridge. Guests included New York artists and McCartney loyalists.
Elegant and Dramatic Design
The new 1,200-square-foot, two-story store is spare yet dramatic and light-filled, with elaborate herringbone floors, Victorian finishes, and Deco sculptures. This marks the 17th stand-alone Stella McCartney store, with the 16th opening simultaneously at Bal Harbour near Miami. Two new stores are set to open in London and Barcelona in the coming months.
Diverse Product Range
The brand now includes the designer collection, kids’ line, and Adidas by Stella McCartney. McCartney has also been chosen as the official designer for the British Olympic teams for London 2012.
