If you haven’t heard of BeOnd Airlines, it is the world’s first premium leisure airline. In other words, their aircraft are entirely business class, with upgraded amenities, and exclusivity to keep things extra comfortable. We assume you like to travel if you’re part of the jet set, and keeping your flying repertoire open to what’s newest is part of the fun.

The Start of BeOnd

BeOnd Airlines is a relatively new air service, having celebrated its second anniversary at the end of 2024. They offer flights to and from the Maldives, Europe, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Asia. If you’re wondering why these are the only offerings, BeOnd has plans to expand its outreach and fleet in the coming years. But, because the company is still in its infancy and is based in the Maldives, the airline is starting on home turf. The headquarters are in Dubai, and founders  Max Nilov and Tero Taskila are on the front lines. Together, the Arabesque investment firm and Maldivian SIMDI Group (along with Taskila’s 25+ years in the business) are creating experiences that are, well… beyond.

First, if you’re not satisfied with your flight experience, BeOnd offers a free flight guarantee. That said, we don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

There are two airplane models in use: the first is a 44-seater with a 2-2 configuration, and the second seats 68 with the same layout for optimized space (fewer passengers also means faster check-ins and shorter queues). They both offer lie-flat seating made of Italian leather. Your cabin will be equipped with eco-friendly blankets and oversized pillows for the best sleep you’ve ever experienced on a plane. The crew will also distribute noise-canceling headphones so you can put life on snooze and relax.

Food & Drink

Say goodbye to notorious airplane food. You no longer have to be afraid if your meal comes smothered in an unidentifiable sauce, because your dish will be prepared by renowned chefs with seasonal, sustainable ingredients influenced by your destination. It’s not just the taste that matters on this airline; the presentation is equally luxurious, with William Edwards chinaware, Robert Welch silverware, and drinks served in crystal glasses. Whether it’s wine, spirits, or freshly-pressed juice, you will be served in style.

Entertainment

If you’re the type of traveler who stays awake through the entire flight, kudos to you. You’re going to need to find something to keep you occupied, though. So it’s a good thing you can tailor your entertainment options to your liking. There aren’t the conventional televisions, like those on most flights. Instead, you’ll receive a tablet with movies, TV shows, games, and music—the works. There is a holder for your tablet or your own devices, if you want a hands-free experience.

There are different fares for BeOnd’s business class seating: The Delight Experience, The Bliss Experience, and The Opulence Experience (the most luxurious). The difference between experiences includes access to seat selection, airport transfers, and baggage weight maximums on the aircraft.
