Welcome to Fasano Fifth Avenue: NYC’s Taste of Brazilian Luxury

Fasano Fifth Avenue

Well, this one slipped totally under the radar. One of the most chic and ritzy Brazilian hotel portfolios has arrived in New York City. Fasano Fifth Avenue is an exclusive and private member’s hotel, as in you have to be personally selected or referred by one of the Fasano Club members to stay. This is not a Downtown club either, but rather right at the intersection of Midtown and the Upper East Side on one of the most exclusive blocks in the world. Here’s the scoop.

The Fasano Hotels

The Fasano is an empire of hotels and restaurants throughout South America with a 120-year history of five-star service.  If you have not heard of them, it’s because until now, they were predominantly in Brazil.  However, they have recently started to expand internationally and the Fasano NYC is their first property in America.

This is a group that has been around since 1902, when their founder immigrated from his homeland of Italy.  The Italian heritage is clear in the hospitality and design, that’s married with the exuberance of their South American locations.  The Fasano is one of the leading luxury hotels in all of the region.

Welcome to NYC, Fasano Fifth Avenue

The Fasano hotels are known to be the cool luxury, with sleek and modern design.  Their hotels are showstoppers, and are the place where the impossibly beautiful and affluent South Americans gather.  It’s no surprise they have their sights international.  And as they say in NYC, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.  The cool factor though is what makes the Fifth Avenue location a surprise for the Fasano NYC.  Not to say there aren’t cool people who live on the UES, but the hotel group traditionally conveys a downtown vibe.  But then again, this isn’t a traditional hotel.

Members-Only

The Fasano NYC hotel, restaurant and bar are members-only, and we should add it’s invite-only.  This isn’t Soho House where anyone can apply and wait on a 25,000+ person waitlist.  To add to the exclusivity, the hotel is zoned as residential apartments, so the minimum stay is around 30 days.  Each of the 12 units are impeccably furnished and offer stunning views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline.  The Clubhouse Suites offer an upgraded luxury hotel feel, while the massive Duplex Apartments are a home away from home, with a living room and dining room in addition to the 3 large suites.

But once again, in order to get access, you need to be invited.  So start dialing for dollars to see which of your Brazilian friends has entry.
