Emily in Paris

This is a case where the student becomes the master. The fashion has outdone even Sex and the City at this point. In fact, the wardrobe alone is a reason to tune in, but add in the talented actors and the settings, and you have yourself a Netflix binge weekend. These are a few of the Emily in Paris destinations that Emily and Co have graced this season.

Bistro Terra Nera

Yes, the restaurant where Gabriel works is in fact real, and it is called Terra Nera. Just as the show demonstrates, the bistro is a cozy neighborhood spot. But of course, any neighborhood spot in Paris might get a star anywhere else. The menu is full of delicious Italian food, surprisingly, as the show is a love letter to Paris.

The charming restaurant is located just a stone’s throw from the Pantheon, so you can fulfill your Emily in Paris destination dreams all in one. But do be aware that lines of fans have started to pull up pretty regularly.

The Pantheon

Most people visit the Pantheon as part of their art historical tour of the city. Unlike in Rome, however, the Parisian version (which was modeled after it) might not be as readily on your radar.

Emily visits the Pantheon to break up with her American boyfriend over the phone. We suppose the architecture softens the blow. Or at least, the former Roman Temple will put things into perspective. Or, given that the landmark is a place of burial for many prominent intellectuals, perhaps it was the perfect place to bury the past.

Montmartre

Montmartre is an unofficial character in Emily in Paris, having been the setting for many of Emily’s explorations. The romantic cobblestone streets that wind up and down the sector’s hilltop set the backdrop for her luxury mattress campaign.

One of the cafés she visits is called La Maison Rose, a pink house nestled behind the Sacre-Coeur. Though it looks unassuming, the restaurant once was one of Picasso’s favorites. Emily chooses the spot for a lunch date, likely drinking in not only the coffee, the inspiring energy.
