There’s something about watching Wimbledon that makes you want to pick up a racket and work on your game. Well, there is a hotel for that, where the view from the courts may be good enough reason to call game, set, match. These are the most beautiful hotel tennis courts around the world – ranked by a factor of wow.

 1. Il San Pietro di Positano – Positano, Italy

Location: Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy.

Il San Pietro treats tennis like a spectacle, stretching between a sheer cliff and a sliver of beach. Many call it one of the most beautiful courts in the world, and they’re not exaggerating. Exclusive to hotel guests, it’s complimentary to book, and the concierge can arrange rackets, balls, and even a private trainer. The setting is so dramatic that it’s frequently photographed and written about as a once‑in‑a‑lifetime place to play. If tennis had a Bond‑movie location scout, this would be the first stop.

2. Hotel du Cap‑Eden‑Roc – Antibes, France

Location: Cap d’Antibes, French Riviera.

At Eden‑Roc, even the courts have a sense of drama. Five clay courts hide under Aleppo pines, palms, and olive trees. It’s the Riviera at its most effortlessly polished. Coaching is available on request, and the courts sit within the hotel’s legendary gardens. The property is often cited as having one of the world’s most recognizable hotel courts.

3. Grand Hotel Tremezzo – Lake Como, Italy

Location: Tremezzina, Lake Como, Italy.

The Grand Hotel Tremezzo’s clay court hides inside its century‑old gardens. Lake Como stretches out in front with an unimpeded view, making it almost impossible to stay focused on the match. There’s no need to book ahead, and guests play for free. The court belongs to an estate famous for its parkland and unmistakable pools.

4. Amanpuri – Phuket, Thailand

Location: Phuket, Thailand.

Amanpuri offers four tennis courts and two padel courts, all set within lush tropical gardens. Guests can book private lessons with ATP/WTA‑ranked professionals – a level of coaching that feels almost unfairly luxurious. The courts were refreshed recently, along with an expanded racquet‑sports lineup. It’s rare to find a spot where your game improves and your tension dissolves at once.

5. One&Only Reethi Rah – Maldives

Location: North Malé Atoll, Maldives.

Reethi Rah features two floodlit tennis courts and a padel court, all in partnership with LUX Tennis. Palm trees and white‑sand paths frame the courts in every direction. ATP and WTA‑level professionals handle the coaching. The resort is known for hosting world‑class tennis events and visiting pros.

6. Splendido, A Belmond Hotel – Portofino, Italy

Location: Portofino, Italy.

Splendido’s all‑weather hillside court is surrounded by lush trees with views over the Ligurian Sea. It’s private, quiet, and spectacularly scenic – the kind of court where you linger long after match point.

7. Enchantment Resort – Sedona, Arizona

Location: Boynton Canyon, Sedona, Arizona.

Enchantment’s two courts sit in the shadow of towering red‑rock formations. The landscape is so intense it feels like a special effect. USTA‑certified pros offer lessons for all levels. Courts and equipment come included with the resort fee. It’s tennis with a whisper of desert drama.

8. Sani Asterias / Sani Resort – Halkidiki, Greece

Location: Halkidiki, Greece.

Home to the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre, Sani Resort offers eight clay courts and coaching programs based on Nadal’s training methods. Players can book tailored sessions for all ages. The resort spans 400 hectares with seven kilometers of beach – a Mediterranean tennis playground. It’s the closest most of us will get to training like Rafa.

9. Atlantis The Palm – Dubai, UAE

Location: Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.

Atlantis offers three floodlit hard courts through its Tennis Academy. They’re available from sunrise until the day decides it’s over. The academy features more than 20 professional coaches for private or group lessons. It’s Dubai – of course the tennis is as extra as everything else.

FAQs

Q: Do I need to bring my own racquet?

A: Not unless you’re particularly attached to it. Most of these hotels will provide rackets, balls, and even restringing if needed. At places like Grand Hotel Tremezzo, you can simply show up and start playing.

Q: Can beginners book lessons, or is this all very “country club energy”?

A: No intimidation required. Resorts such as Sani Resort offer structured programs for all levels, from first-timers to near-pros. Think more “elevated summer camp,” less “elite tryouts.”

Q: What’s the best destination for a full-on tennis holiday?

A: If you want to go all in, Sani Resort is essentially a tennis campus, thanks to the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre. For something more barefoot-luxury, One&Only Reethi Rah pairs serious play with serious downtime.
