Join Galavante’s founder, Christine, and John Zissell, the design expert at Frette, as they unveil the secrets to indulging in a night of absolute luxury and comfort.
Christine is a passionate traveler on track to become one of the fewer than 30 individuals worldwide to have visited all 195 countries. Recently, she shared her amazing hotel experiences, including stays at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong and The Norman in Tel Aviv. What do these trips have in common? The answer is Frette linens, which have encouraged Christine to dedicate an entire day to the joy of sleeping comfortably.
Frette has a rich history, dating back to its foundation in 1860 by Edmund Frette in the south of France. Originally the son of a linen maker and a hat maker, Edmund traveled throughout Europe to promote Frette linens. The company eventually set up its headquarters in Manza, Italy, just outside of Milan. Although often associated with Italy, Frette has deep French roots.
Within a short period of establishing the business, in 1881, Edmund Frette secured the prestigious position of being the primary linens supplier to the Italian royal family. Frette’s linens have graced the Vatican and served over 500 royal families. Notably, Frette was one of the pioneering linen companies featured on the Orient Express, embarking on a global journey.
So come along with Christine and John as they show you how to make a super comfy hotel-style bed using Frette sheets.
