Ingredients
For the Crust
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp sugar
A pinch of salt
For the Filling
200g Royce Nama Chocolate- Ghana Bitter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup whole milk
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Garnish
Shaved Royce’ Chocolate Bar
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and salt until it gets the consistency of wet sand. Press the mixture evenly into a tart pan with a removable bottom, pressing firmly with the back of a spoon. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden, then set aside to cool.
Break the Royce’ Nama Chocolate into pieces in a separate bowl. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and milk over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Before it comes to a boil, remove from heat and pour the hot cream mixture over the Royce Nama Chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Once it cools down slightly, whisk in the egg and vanilla extract until the mixture is fully combined and glossy.
Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled tart crust. Bake the tart at 300°F (150°C) for about 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly wobbly in the center. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature.
Once cooled, refrigerate the tart for at least 1-2 hours to allow the filling to fully set. Before serving, garnish with shavings of the Royce Chocolate bar. We recommend using the Royce Creamy Milk Chocolate Bar for the shavings.
