In pursuit of places to escape to this winter (yes, you should be thinking of this already), there’s a new option in Anguilla. It’s an old friend of sorts (the CuisinArt) that is now under new management. A big selling point is the newly updated Greg Norman-designed golf course, among other aesthetic overhauls. Here’s a preview of what to expect from the new Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club.
Completely New Management
While the CuisinArt residences were an Anguilla institution, Olympus Ventures is changing the game. The new Aurora Anguilla, a 300-acre property, will pay homage to authentic Anguilla. Management is committed to each detail and an upgraded guest experience, with the goal of shaping the future of hospitality on the island.
The Amenities
The Aurora Anguilla will helm a fleet of private jets to charter guests coming from around the US, so West Coasters may actually venture to this part of the Caribbean. This is an industry first, so they are playing no games when it comes to luxury experience from the start.
The Golf Course
The Greg Norman-designed course will be one of the best in the world. Stunning ocean views paired with tricky holes will rival the most beautiful destination courses. In addition to the green, facilities will include a practice green and a nine-hole family course.
The Food
Renowned Chef Abram Bissell will head the kitchen, so expectations should be high. Once at the top of the Eleven Madison Park kitchen, Bissell has had a taste of two and even three Michelin stars. But after living in NYC, he has moved to Anguilla to immerse himself in the culture. Dishes at Aurora will reflect a deep knowledge and respect for tradition on the island.
Commitment to the Community
In addition to the resort, guests can rest easy knowing that the massive overhaul won’t burden the island. The core of the Aurora Anguilla is to maintain the culture, and honor it. Additionally, the resort has plans for a community health clinic to support the needs of residents on the island. What’s better than enjoying yourself and helping those on the island? It’s a win-win.
