We have to admit, sometimes we run Celeb Travel articles just because some of these celebs look darned good in our newsletter. Case in point, the talented Liam Hemsworth. He caught our eye in The Last Song and impressed us with his acting chops in The Hunger Games series. But Liam Hemsworth knows his Australia. It is his homeland, after all. Here are his spots to put on your list.
The Spot: Byron Bay
We think that it’s a requisite to surf and be Australian. Australia has some of the most beautiful, unspoiled beaches in the world, and along with that, some of the best surf. You are more likely to get a glimpse of Liam (and his brother Chris) surfing than at a nightclub. We’ll take Byron Bay, where Liam is often spotted, any day over bottle service.
The Spot: Cape Byron Lighthouse
It’s not just surf in Byron Bay. In the same stunning Byron Bay beach area, you’ll want to take in a hike to get the real views to the Cape Byron Lighthouse. It’s a museum as well, so for those not up for the hike, it’s accessible to all by a drive. Of course Liam, who has been spotted with his girlfriend, takes the stairs.
The Spot: Rae’s on Wategos
It’s a family affair, at chic yet Australian-low key spot Rae’s on Watgos in Byron Bay. Set o Byron Beach, you can also stay here, at their boutique hotel. Liam is seen there often with his parents and newest significant other. Fare is healthy with a Mediterranean influence, and has vegan options as well.
The Spot: Hellenika at The Calile
This is one of the power spots, where Liam has been spotted for breakfast. Located in Brisbane, which is on Australia’s Gold Coast, cuisine is high-end Greek. Make sure to order those zucchini chips and request a table outside to soak up the sun.
The Spot: Nobu, Melbourne & Sydney
Everyone loves their Nobu, where the signature cuisine translates to every culture. Because rock shrimp tempura, is clearly universal. Liam has given props to Nobu as one of his favorite restaurants, whether in Malibu or his native land of Australia.
The Pub at the Lennox Hotel, Lennox Head
This spot reflects how down-to-earth and low-key, Liam lives life. Yes, it’s owned by a former Australia Bachelor contestant who comes from a family with a $500 mil pub empire. But at it’s core, it’s a sports bar, where you’ll see Liam drop in for lunch and family time often.
Rainbow Bay
When you live in a country that’s like a vacation, where do you vacation? Rainbow Bay, where the entire Hemsworth clan gets their quality family time in. It’s views for days.
