Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson’s recent trip to India was a harmonious blend of concerts, cultural immersion, and spiritual exploration. India has always been a land of vibrant contrasts; where global music resonates with age-old traditions. Between Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour lighting up the stage and their low-key exploration of Indian culture, this couple served major goals. From Mumbai’s nonstop buzz to Ahmedabad’s chill heritage vibes and Prayagraj’s holy dip, here’s the tea on their epic Indian escapade.

Mumbai

First stop? The electric metropolis of Mumbai, where Coldplay performed at a sold-out concert that shook the city’s DY Patil Stadium. But there’s more to Mumbai than its music scene. The city buzzes with energy—from the historic Gateway of India to the art deco architecture along Marine Drive. Oh, and the food? Vada pav and pav bhaji, and mango kulfi to top it all off — no less. Chris and Dakota also visited the iconic Siddhivinayak temple ahead of the concert. Mumbai’s infectious vibe ensures there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a foodie, a shopaholic, or a culture enthusiast. From their pictures and stories on Instagram, it looks like the couple really soaked in the fun energy of Mumbai.

Ahmedabad

Next, the duo hit up Ahmedabad for another stop for Music of the Spheres. This city is heritage goals. Gujarat’s largest city boasts UNESCO World Heritage recognition for its Old City, where labyrinthine pols (traditional housing clusters) and centuries-old mosques tell stories of a bygone era. The Sabarmati Riverfront adds a modern touch, perfect for those moody travel reels. And let’s not forget the food—dhokla, khakra, and jalebi are so good, we bet they inspired a Coldplay ballad.

Prayagraj

After hyping up fans, the couple switched gears in Prayagraj for a spiritual detox at the Kumbh Mela. This isn’t your average carnival. The Kumbh Mela is the world’s largest spiritual gathering. Here, the couple took a holy dip at the sangam — the confluence of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Between the chanting, the colors, and the vibes, it’s a complete spiritual reset. Whether you’re into the faith or just there for the experience, Prayagraj is pure zen.
