You change your clothes with the seasons, so why not you swap out your dishes too? After all, ingredients are seasonal, and spring (in all its vegetable glory) is right around the corner. These stoneware modern dinner plates are trending fashionably high and will let all your meals shine. The best part about these modern dinner plates is they are sustainable, making a positive impact on the community.
Presentation is Everything
Whether or not you’re a professional-level chef in the kitchen (or a master at Postmates), how your food is presented influences your experience. Even if you’re ordering takeout, setting your table with proper plates and utensils will elevate any meal. And if you’re making a home-cooked meal like our pumpkin lasagna, then that’s an extra-special occasion to set the table. When you travel the world, meals are where you exchange ideas and learn about culture. At home, it can be an extension of that experience, and you can catch up up with those nearest and dearest to you.
Dinnerware used to be boring. It was the same old standard stuff, such as the traditional china that you registered for when you got married. Fast forward to today, and you have companies like Be Home that source interesting, modern dinner plates from around the world. The result is cool and chic dinnerware doubles as a fashion statement for your table. These pair well with natural wooden serving bowls and gold silverware, to complete the modern dinner look.
The Plates
It’s nice when you can be both stylish and make a social impact. The Tam collection of plates at Be Home is handcrafted by women artisans in Vietnam. The set comes with side and dinner plates, soup/cereal bowls, and side bowls. There are three colors to choose from: a darker slate, a light (sterling) gray, and a pearl color. The set can also be mixed and matched for any combination of these pretty hues. We suggest alternating between two colors, like the pearl and slate or sterling versions, to add an element of diversity to your meals.
Unlike fine china, you don’t have to hand wash these pieces, although they are made individually by hand. This set is both dishwasher and microwave safe, so it’s also practical for everyday.
Price Range:
A set of four dinner plates, four soup/cereal plates, and four side plates will run you about $444.
