July is the month of independence, where we started with home sweet home United States, and celebrate France’s independence on Bastille Day this July 14th.
Paris is an iconic city, and one of my personal favorites. When I travel to Europe, I try to squeeze in even a day layover to walk around the St. Germain, pick up macaroons at La Duree and have the perfect French meal. My last favorite meal was at Le Comptoir, where you get fine dining quality food at sideway tables in the heart of the St. Germain. I still think about the oeufs en cocotte with truffle and the rich yet so light crabes aux pates.
My close friend Andrea, who was there from the very beginning of my college travels in France is also in Paris, so the perfect excuse to spend time. Each time I do visit, I see her children grow into beautiful, young people. Paris just feels like my second home, and has influenced the creation of Galavante in so many ways.
Independence also means a lot today because Galavante is over a year old, and we are on the verge of re-launching our website to be open to the public in the next few weeks. I am fortunate to have a team of 28 talented, dedicated and inspiring individuals who are building the foundation for Galavante to really succeed. I am thankful to all of our Galavante family, and to you, our readers.
All the Best,
