The Twenty Two opened in London in 2022, and took the trend of private clubs to the next level with a luxury hotel as part of its offerings. In lieu of a stuffy old school club though, The Twenty Two is more the new school. Its private Member’s Club became the spot to hang in real privacy, with guests like Jeff Bezos, Tom Brady (and Irina) and Tom Cruise as regulars. After its success in Mayfair, the Twenty Two New York plans to open up in the Flatiron neighborhood this Spring 2024. There’s not a lot of information yet on the opening of Twenty Two New York, but all bets are that it will be just as cool as its London sister club.
About The Twenty Two
When you introduce yourself as ‘a westside hideaway for the creative at heart’, the call is clearly for those with cascading creative energies. The London Twenty Two is housed in an Edwardian manor whose interiors are classic but whimsically quirky enough to make it interesting. The Twenty Two has 31 suites and a restaurant that’s the center of the social scene, (and open to non-members). What’s unique about the Twenty Two is that it balances exclusivity with cool people looking to have a good time. So if that’s any indication, we have high expectations for the Twenty Two New York City outpost.
The Member’s Club
If you are creative at heart and believe that eccentricity is a virtue of genius, then you will likely find yourself at home at the Twenty Two Member’s Club. Don’t compare it to Soho House though, as the memberships nowadays could not be more different. One thing they do share in common though is the focus on art and pleasure pursuits. There’s a high chance you’ll find yourself in the Library Bar sipping on a cocktail brainstorming world domination, then end up dancing into the wee hours when the bar turns into a nightclub.
The Twenty Two New York of course will also have the Member’s Club. In addition to the Club, the hotel will have 77 rooms and a restaurant. If it is everything that its sister property in London is, expect this to be one of the hottest private clubs in NYC when it arrives this year.
